Before you arrive

 

 

Food

 

  • Hotel rooms have a refrigerator. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle service to/from Super Target and other local businesses.

  • Remember, you will receive a per diem of $40 per day (partial for your travel days) and there is no need to save your food receipts.

  • The Fermilab Training Center (where we’ll be M-F) has a refrigerator and microwave.

  • The hotel has complimentary breakfast (limited selection Hyatt Place breakfast). The cafeteria in Wilson Hall at Fermilab (map) has a wider breakfast selection cooked to order at reasonable prices.

  • We’ll go to the Fermilab cafeteria for lunch each day: regular menu and weekly menu.

  • The hotel offers a 24/7 Gallery Made to Order Menu that you may choose to use in house for your evening meals.

Memorial for Tom Jordan at the Kuhn Village Barn on the east side of the Fermilab campus (map). If you plan to come, dress is very casual and it will be very warm as the barn is not air conditioned. If you need a ride to the barn, we will meet in the lobby at 2:30.

7 - 9 PM

Meet campers and Quarknet Fellows in the Hyatt Place lobby anytime between 7-9PM for an introductory activity (~1 hour). In house dining would be available here as well.

  • Find everything you used during the Data Camp on Google Drive.

  • Upload and view campers’ photos in the shared folder. Can’t upload? Make sure you’re logged into your Google account. If not, you’ll only be able to view others’ pics.

  • Share what’s worked in your classroom in the Google Doc here. Can’t type in it? Make sure you’re logged into your Google account. If not, you’ll only be able to read others’ posts.
