Before you arrive
- Read Jeremy’s April email to campers with specifics on money, travel, graduate credit, etc.
- Complete the Data Camp background survey.
- Arrange travel with Kris Felton krisfelton@anthonytravel.com.
- Complete the Emergency Contact Info form.
- Create a quarknet.i2u2.org account (if you haven’t already) and add yourself to the Data Camp 2016 group. Here’s a guide for setting up your own profile.
- Bring a check if you’d like to receive graduate credit for the workshop.
- Pack closed-toe shoes for tours.
Food
- Hotel: rooms have a refrigerator and Residence Inn offers complimentary hot breakfast in the lobby every morning. Here’s a list of nearby restaurants, of which some deliver.
- The Fermilab cafeteria in Wilson Hall (map) has a wider breakfast selection cooked to order at reasonable prices. We’ll go to the Fermilab cafeteria for lunch each day: regular menu and weekly menu. Feel free to pack your lunch instead.
- Building 327 (where we’ll be M-F) has a refrigerator and microwave (map).
- Remember, you will receive a per diem of $40 per day (partial for your travel days) and there is no need to save your food receipts.

After the Data Camp
- Find everything you used during the Data Camp on Google Drive.
- Send in your reimbursement form.
- No food receipts. The per diem covers food at a flat rate.
- Mileage reimbursement is $0.575 per mile. No additional money for gas.
- Upload and view campers’ photos in the shared photos folder. Can’t upload? Make sure you’re logged into your Google account. If not, you’ll only be able to view others’ pics.
- Share what’s worked in your classroom in the shared lessons and resources page. Can’t type in it? Make sure you’re logged into your Google account. If not, you’ll only be able to read others’ posts.
